Seun Kuti has rebranded the famous title for internet fraudsters from “yahoo boys” to “legitimate children of Nigeria’s political elites.
On his Instagram page, he wrote: “The yahoo boy is the legitimate child of the political and business elite. Our ability as Nigerians to pick and choose what criminals to hate and what criminals to jump and dance for is the reason we can’t develop especially when the criminals we shuck and jive for are the real DEVILS!!
“Stigmatise all Nigerians criminals, not just the yahoo boy. Now you will make these oppressors use the people as an excuse to oppress the people.
“When the police start harassing all young people, na una go shout END SARS!!! I won’t let these people create an atmosphere where their harassment of young people will become acceptable!! Let’s go after the people creating the criminality! Politicians and bankers and oil workers rob all of us every day! We are all victims. Why is this conversation hard to start. UNA DEY FEAR?”
Yes it’s true, why can’t you people follow the politicians, young boys are trying to eradicate poverty from there family even thou they graduated from the university but no job, isn’t because of the politician ? They carry our money to another country but young boys bring them back, you people should be praising young boys instead of harassing them
