Moments ago, Ojuelegba crooner, Wizkid took to his Twitter to praise his colleague who held a successful concert last night at the O2 Academy in Brixton, London. “OBO shutdown London last night,” he tweeted, adding, “Big up star.”
Concertgoers also confirmed that Davido brought Wizkid to join on stage, and the duo performed the latter’s hit single, Manya.
This interesting update comes almost two months after the duo quashed their beef and formed an alliance at their individual concerts held in Lagos in December. It is quite difficult to tell when they began beefing each other, but many fans believe the bad blood was formed when folks made unkind comparisons between them, with some placing Wizkid on a higher pedestal because of his global success since collaborating with Drake.
It wasn’t long before the singers began to sub each other on social media; Davido dismissed Wizkid’s album, Sounds From The Other Side, and Wizkid, who has a penchant for being petty, replied by comparing his voice to a frog’s.
And that was when the feud became full blown. Plus, it turned near-violent in Dubai, during the One Africa Music Fest.
Well, the boys are men now, and have finally understood that they grow stronger when they join forces, as can be seen in this video, when Davido brought out Wizkid in London. The excitement is so intense you can almost slice through it.
