After a quiet exit from Tinny Entertainment, Ycee shares the sad story about how he was denied his music streaming royalties by his former label.
The Nigerian rapper in a series of tweets voiced out about his sad ordeal at Tinny Entertainment. He revealed to fans that despite making hit records at the label he never enjoyed any revenue from digital sales of his music.
Ycee spilled the juice after his former boss Tinny shared a post of gratitude after the music in the label’s catalogue got a 100 million streams on all digital platforms. According to the ‘Jagaban’ crooner nobody on the label was paid any royalties accrued from digital music sales.
The CEO of Tinny Entertainment was also accused of leaking his unreleased songs and frustrating the release of his debut album.
The rapper who now has his own outfit, said he spoke up to keep up-and-coming artistes aware of red flags when signing a record deal.
Earlier this year Ycee launched his record label The ANBT Company.
