Snoop Dogg has been dropping music like he neva left since the release of his album back in May, and today he’s back with another new joint. Joined by his Doggy Style Records signee October London, who you might recognize from Neva Left‘s “Go On,” Uncle Snoop serves up more old school G-Funk on “What Is This?” All my beat junkies will immediately know which mad scientist produced.
Snoop Dogg says at the beginning of his new video “Revolution” featuring October London, out Monday (June 12). On the Just Blaze-produced track, Snoop narrates the victimizing experience of people of color at the hands of law enforcement.The video depicts scenes of black men being handcuffed and running from the police. A young man is seen holding a camera phone, alluding to the present-day awareness around police brutality.
