PMAN President Resigns To Contest Nigerian Senatorial Seat

The Nigerian music industry has decided not to sit back and watch the political terrain anymore but to fully participate as the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria PMAN being the largest union of musicians in black Africa & the umbrella union of all Nigerian musicians have thrown her weight behind her President Hon . ( Dr. ) Liege Lord Keston Muhammed Okoro Al-Amin who has declared his interest to contest the Delta state senatorial race for Delta Central Senatorial district

Hon ( Dr. ) Liege Lord Keston Muhammed Okoro Al-Amin submitted his resignation letter to the national working committee in line with the constitution of PMAN so as to enable him concentrate on his national political assignment.

The letter which was submitted at an extra ordinary meeting held in Lagos on Wednesday,31st January 2018 which is exactly one year since the last election held in Abuja.
The meeting which had all members of the National working committee, some national executive members,elders & stakeholders of the Nigerian industry in attendance was originally conveyed to discuss the burial arrangement for Mr. Okey Dike who was until his demise the acting national General Secretary & two time General secretary to two National Presidents of the organization.

The resignation letter was accepted by the general house who praised the President for the bold step and the following resolutions adopted by the vibrant musicians Union.

Resolutions adopted at the PMAN meeting held on the 31st of January 2018.

1. Burial arrangements for the late General Secretary :

Burial Date is 23rd February 2018 at his home town.

There shall be candle light night/ musical performance in his honor in Lagos.

Arrangement for Venue,Date & Time of the Lagos event shall be made known soon

It was unanimously agreed that a bank account be opened for financial donations towards Late Okey Dike’s burial.

Bank details shall be displayed once the process is perfected.

2. Hon Keston Okoro’s letter of resignation was officially received by the (NWC)

3.The following vacant positions where replaced in line with PMAN constitution.

Dr Gbenga Falope (Jnr) was moved from the position of 1st vice president to the position of the PMAN President.

Baba Ojonugwa (JFO) was moved from the position of the 2nd vice president to the position of the *1st vice president of PMAN

Boniface Itodo (Aita Bonny) was Appointed as the AGS of PMAN,subject to confirmation as GS by (NEC) All of these where unanimously carried by members of the (NWC) Via seconded motions, & voting in line with PMAN constitution.
