Manchester City had to pull in the big guns to earn a point at the Etihad Stadium against Everton on Monday night.
Wayne Rooney opened the scoring for Everton to bag his 200th goal in the English Premier League, making him the second player to achieve this after former Blackburn and Newcastle striker Alan Shearer.
City’s woes increased minutes later as 50-million-man Kyle Walker was shown a second yellow and subsequently sent off for a rather harsh challenge on Irving.
However, Guardiola’s men showed great belief and pulled in the big guns to equalise late in the second half thanks to a sublime volley from Raheem Sterling.
Everton also finished with 10 men when midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin was shown a second yellow card for catching Sergio Aguero late.
