When it comes to the top three players in the English Premier League, there is no doubt that Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez are among the top two, – if not tied at 1st position.
They definitely have it all; a keen eye for goal, dribbling, passing, taking on players, skills, and probably the greatest work ethics the EPL has ever seen. It’s no surprise that both players have been pivotal to Chelsea’s two EPL’s in three years, and Arsenal’s two FA Cups in three years respectively.
However, which one of them is more important to the success of their team? In Leicester City’s title-winning 2015/16, Eden Hazard was surprisingly repeatedly benched by the then coach Jose Mourinho, and Chelsea seriously suffered for it; finishing out of the top 6 in the EPL. While, the periods Alexis Sanchez either doesn’t play for Arsenal due to injury or problems with the club, the defeats The Gunners have suffered within those periods have been abysmal, to say the least.
So which one of them is the more important to the success of their respective clubs? I actually can’t decide, so I will leave the decision to you.
