DTL Brings Back The Style of Olamide on Million Dollar Dreams

It’s easy today to say Olamide is singing sh*ts, compared to the days of coming up, and you can easily write-off a material, like a whole album (case study: Lagos Na Wa), and call it nonsense.

BUT, before Olamide wasn’t interested in, “wetin dey get to say,” before the YBNL boss hit the realm of artisticity, where he can just pick anything (and I mean anything) and make shit outta it, he had to pass through a stage when he had to put his body, soul and heart into this game, and craft.
The latter is the stage 19-year-old rapper, DTL (Dare Tha Ludda) is at now. Anyway, you’re free to sleep on him, like some people did to Olamide, in those day. It just makes you a big FOOL. (No, that’s not Fresh Out Of Lagos. It’s the original FOOL!)
Oludare Odola (born 1 June 1998), known by his stage name,  DTL; an acronym for Dare Tha Ludda (Ludda is a shortened form of his first name, Oludare) is a Nigerian hiphop recording/performing artist from Okitipupa, Ondo State. He is a bilingual rapper whose style and sound has been mostly compared to the YBNL rapper and leader, Olamide.
On “Million Dollar Dreams,” DTL (real name Oludare Odola) takes us back to the storytelling days, when every song had “storylines.” Remember? With his Olamide-esque voice he attempts to tell his story, the story of his come up, and Early days, in the game. The koko of my vocabularies; it’s an autobiography!

Writing his own lyrics in 2011, forming a group (Undisputed Rap Squad) in 2013, with his school mates, performing at an event in his hood, the whole story is packed into the song. I should call this a “Thriller,” except for the fact that it’s not a movie. And a good listen for yourself will give you a knowledge of who DTL is – and was.
Overall, “Million Dollar Dreams” is a true life story, spanning about 5 years of DTL’s hustle, to become one of the hottest kids on the block, right now.

Punches where needed, mind-blowing rhymes … DTL balances telling a “hustle” story using his confident Olamide voice. It’s a million dollar jam!

Can we say, “He is working in the exact footsteps of Olamide Baddo”. It might be too early to run to a conclusion but let us watch out for this Kid.
