Taylor Swift – This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

Taylor Swift dropped her latest album, Reputation, last night, and she also continued a long-standing tradition of throwing a few thinly veiled barbs at Kanye West along the way (at least, according to the Internet). The last substantive hit before this album was landed by West, on last year’s “Famous,” in which he rapped, “I made that bitch famous,” among other perceived mortal insults.

Then there was the notorious unveiling of some Snapchat “receipts” by Kim Kardashian West, which prompted her fans to descend on Swift in a flurry of snake emojis. Though she laid relatively low for the last year, Swift seems to have gotten over trying to stay above the fray on a few Reputation tracks, particularly, “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.
