EPL Week 5 Review: Manchester Teams Dominating, London Teams Falling

Week five of the English Premier League saw a dominant display by the two Manchester teams in the league with City and United, who are currently occupying first and second position respectively, defeating their opponents easily.

Manchester City defeated Watford 6-0 away with Sergio Aguero scoring a hattrick, and Gabriel Jesus, Otamendi, and Sterling all getting on the scoresheet. While Manchester United defeated Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford with Romelu Lukaku scoring against his old club and Mhikitaryan, Martial and Valencia putting the ball in the back of the net also.

The London teams all played a stalemate with Chelsea and Arsenal playing 0-0 at Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham’s ‘Wembley curse’ continued with a 0-0 home draw with Swansea City.

Liverpool and Burnley also drew 1-1 at Anfield, while Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle defeated Stoke City 2-1 at Magpie Park.
