Champions League Review: Goals Galore On Tuesday Night

Lionel Messi finally achieved one of the three things he has failed to over his very long and illustrious career: He scored against Gianluigi Buffon in Barcelona’s 3-0 victory over Juventus in Tuesday night’s Champions League group D match (the other two being winning the World Cup, and winning the Copa America)… Ivan Rakitic also got on the scoresheet to send Barca to the top of group D.

Chelsea bagged a very easy 6-0 victory over Quarabag at Stamford Bridge in the group C matchup, while Atletico Madrid and Roma played a 0-0 draw in Italy.

Edison Cavani, Mbappe, and Neymar all scored in Paris Saint-Germain’s 5-0 stomping of Celtic in Scotland, Paul Pogba captained and later limped off the pitch in Manchester United’s easy victory over Basel at Old Trafford with Fellaini and Lukaku getting on the scoresheet, and Rashford coming in as a substitute on his Champions League debut to score United’s third.
