Daniel O. Oshodi-Alagoa professionally known as BILS (Built in Lagos State) is an AfroHiphop/Afrobeat musician from Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up in Lagos and at the age of 12, BILS found his love for entertainment, influenced by Fela Kuti, Tupac, Mystikal and Kanye west at 16, he began writing his own music and creating his own beats. He then moved to the United States to further his education. He has been nominated three times for the Nigerian Entertainment Award, performed at SXSW, opened up for most of the African A-listers and has landed a song with international Afrobeat artist Olamide with only a few years in the industry under his belt.
Coloring outside the lines, as well as bridging both the Afrobeats and Rap world. From the heavy 808’s to the gently placed percussion, he captivates the listener into a whole new world, creating a timeless masterpiece. A must hear from top to bottom.
